    Sneaky SOB's

So, checking my email (Public spam and such, not home email) and saw a credit card offer with a limit up to $10,000 For a chuckle (I knew I'd not qualify) I decided to look it over...

What a laugh! It's nothing more then a freaking debit card issued by a bank...You load it (Subject to fees) use it anywhere (Subject to fees) and receive reports (Subject to fees) and that's just the start!

So after laughing at the laundry list of charges, I calculated that is I loaded it with $500, the true amount would be $459.00.

Man oh man, if I had 1/100th the sense I do now, I'd not be in this mess...

I got something last week in the mail, tossed it so I don't have the exact wording & such. But it was advertised as a $10k limit w/ no credit check from So-and-so National Bank. In the fine print, though, is it was a credit account for a catalog company (they didn't say Visa/MC but the images & wording implied it) and there were a couple of $199 fees involved with the account. But they were nice enough to credit you $200 towards your first order of $500 or more.

Garbage... I also get the 'preapproved Visa/MC' and it may be 'up to $2500' letters where you read the fine print and minimum credit line is $300 but after application fee, annual fee, initiation fee, monthly fee, etc. the available credit is like $41.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
