Do creditors get a detailed list of what you owe each creditor? I have a family member that said to not include him but my lawyer wants to. I hate for them to see everything that I owe and the amounts.
Yes, Creditors can see your entire petition so they can see everything that you owe to everyone. As far as a personal person they will not get anything in the mail with regard to your other creditors. Unless they sign up for pacer access to look at the case they will not see the full petition.
I owed my mother in law $25k and I had to put her on the petition. She received a few notices but nothing showing what was owed to everyone.
So a credit card company sees everything that you owe and the amounts but a regular person only sees what you owe them unless they sign up on Pacer. Am I understanding this correctly?
Yes, Any creditor can look up your case number and find all the details. The average person would not know they could do this. They do include a link to signup for online access so if your friend is nosey he could signup to look up your details.
