CA tax refunds to be released...

Well, Chiang issued a statment that he is releasing funds that were withheld in February. Although I'm not sure how much info he's really giving in regards to when we can expect our refunds! His statement said that he "started" releasing the money for tax refunds today, that things will be paid on a FIFO basis, and that tax refunds would be paid over the next "several" weeks. My mom taught me that a couple is two, a few is 3 or 4, and several is something over 5... when will we get our money???

When we filed we were told not to expect it before May but hopeful by July at the latest. We're getting a large refund (both fed and state) due to buying a new home. Gee, will they give us interest on that money?

actually- i believe they do give interest when returns are held... i remember seeing that somewhere..

This was just released today, so if you filed your taxes prior to today that info is outdated... they only pay you interest if they pay you more than 45 days past April 15th!
