Anybody have to sue an insurance adjuster before?

I had a prior post regarding a contractor doing a serious hack job on my counter tops. Well, push came to shove and now I have the contractor's insurance for a claim.

The agent that came was a serious witch. Just downright rude and offensive. I kept my cool and let her spew herself to belittle me. I had both the new contractor and my neighbor here if I ever had to take this to court.

The contractor presented his bid to the adjustor today. So I really don't know the verdict of what she'll decide to pay on.

Just wondering if anyone here has ever had to take something like this to court in order to get a decent amount of money to get something fixed right?

The new contractor said to redo my kitchen because of how badly it was messed up is essentially putting in a new kitchen at close to $15,500.

    Any advice would be welcomed!

I got burgularized once. The amount stolen was a lot. Our insurance did not want to pay. I waited, I believe it was 6 months and filed a complaint with our State's agency that regulates insurance. The insurance company called and demanded how much we wanted in order to settle. I told them the full amount. We got a check in the mail for the full amount.

Your state must have an agency that regulates contractors. File a complaint. I bet it will not be long after you file that you get a good settlement.
