    Credit Report ref Mortgage

I have several questions that I can't get answered. I won't bother you all with everything but the primary problems are...

Discharged Ch 13 in May '07.

Mortgage with Ameriquest when filed. 5 months AFTER discharge it was sold to Citi. In January '09 it was sold to some company named American Home Mortgage Servicing.

Trustee failed to pay one pmt that was included in the BK (they admit a mistake on their part) and therefore immediately after the discharge it was reported 30 days late on my CR. As soon as I was made aware of the non-payment I paid it, but it remains on my CR.

At no time was the loan with Citi during the BK, and the history showed current during the entire period. All payments were made on time. When they sold it to AHMS they changed what they were reporting to "PP" with no balance and "included in BK."

My goal is obviously to refinance at a reasonable rate, and we've worked hard and been patient to get to the 24 months period of a good payment history only to have this now show up and hurt things again.

My question is can Citi report it as being involved in a BK when at no time during the period they owned the loan was it in BK, and even if so can they just show that for no reason it went into "PP" status with no balance and history being reported???

I can't find a "credit report lawyer" in the area with the exception of credit counseling and I don't want that. Does anyone know of such a firm in the DFW area?

Sorry for the length of the post.
