    Is this doubldipping by creditors?

Was looking over our list of claims and noticed one creditor that started the process to sue me but decided to dismiss the lawsuit without prejudice (meaning they can file again), did not file a proof of charge (POC) on a 30K debt but did submit another seperate claim in which they provided a proof of charge on the same debt but the amount was raised to 33K.

I got this strange feeling they want to get paid thru the bankruptcy and if we don't complete the bankruptcy, they will come after us for the debt (33k) and refile the lawsuit for 29k. Opinions.

They can't come after you after the BK.

But I am confused...is thes a creditor for which you have 2 different accounts? I don't quite understand what you mean by

It is the same account but they are making it look like it is 2 different accounts. Before we filed bankruptcy, the bank sent us records of the loan being partially paid off and then the loan got reduced down to a debt of about $5.00. After several months, the bank send us bills showing we still owed. We didn't even attempt to pay the $5.00 debt. Then the bank sent us statements saying the loan was completely paid.

We never made any of those payments.
