wife expecting want to get a bigger auto plus 7 0r 13?
We have just stopped paying credit cards. will be trying to modify mort. using the "helping familys save their home act" once I'm 30 days late. just missed 1st payment on 04/01. have aprox 150k in cc debt and second mort(85k) and also 3rd mort(25k). house worth 339k owe 445k on 1st. we own a car that has 25k miles on it but is small and want to get something larger. not new just bigger. can I purchase an auto just before filing? and which chapter would be best to file? Chapter 7 has advantages(no payment plan) but a 13 could wipe out the second and third mortgage right?. I am unemployed and have been now for over 2 years. wife makes 7500 gross monthly. total expenses now are in excess of 12k.
