Just got the BK discharged. Need a loan secured by my vehicle.

I would like to start to re-establish credit by financing my vehicle which I own outright. Is there any lender that will hold the pink slip untill I finish paying my loan?

I figured it would be easier to get a loan with collateral and start rebuilding that way. Any suggestions?

Two things: most of those places that do what you are describing are title loan places with high interest rates and they do not report to the CRA's. Stay away from these type of places.

On the other hand, a CU might consider giving you a loan secured by your vehicle. Its worth a call to check.

Personally, I would not do it. I would enjoy the fresh start for as long as possible.
