My Landlord Filed Chapter 7 Have Questions
First off I want to say hello to you all, I am so glad I found this place. 
I live in ARIZONA...... Just found out my landlord filed ch7 on 4/15/09, yet on his BK paperwork he is not claiming any rental income on his income work sheet. Let me rewind the clock now, last January of 2008 I got an email from my landlord to make rent checks out to his uncle, so we have been. Now lets fast forward the clock back to 2009. He stated he is gonna surrender the property, so we are looking for a place to move. Also the landlord is responsible for the water bill for his place, come to find out he owes over 800.00 in back water bills. Mind you I havent heard from my landlord since January of 2009 when we got the notice of trustee sale taped to our front door. So I wanted to see what was up, I didnt pay rent for March or April, out of the woodwork the Uncle calls me on Friday 4/17/09 looking for rent, I told him I dont owe you rent, I owe the landord rent. Should I get in touch with the trustee to see who I pay rent to since my landlord didn't claim or disclose rental income to the bankruptcy courts? Any help would be appreciated.
