Should good standing account removed from report?

My fiancee has several closed accounts that were in good standing still showing on her credit report. Some of these were opened in 1999. Should these be removed since they are older than seven years or left on since they are not bad accounts? Also, how do the credit companies count the seven years, by date opend or closed? If closed, how do you find that date?

    Thanks!

Keep the good standing accounts on your report for as long as possible - don't challenge them at all. Normally they will stay ten years after final payment.

Yep, keep them. They help with your length of credit history. Shoot, I have some that are 17 years old still reporting. I know it is helping my scores ( as sad as they are)

Another thing, it seems that CRAs like to mess with you when you are cleaning reports.

I had an account with one 30 day late a long time ago that I had for years, which actually was helping my scores a bit cuz of the length, anyway, I disputed the 30 day, and the CRAs wiped the whole tradeline out, and then my score dropped.

They're big weenies over there at the big three CRAs.
