Help! - No Place to File
I was told by my BK attn'y today that I hired three weeks ago this unsettling news."We are unable to file your Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Florida since you do not have a Florida address. When you retained Mr. "ABC", it was understood that you were temporarily in Nevada after a a "fraud" issue here in Florida, but
that you were retaining your Florida address and had intentions to return and maintain a full-time residence in Florida. Since you have not been able to do that, and since your Florida residence is "gone,"you cannot file here. We will refund the $250 you paid since we were not able to process your Documents"- I was told if the trustee was to visit the home I had in Florida I would be purjuring myself because thats not my address any longer(my house was stolen, then carted away, long story but true) - I have since relocated to Nevada now but can't file in Nevada because I must be a resident here FOR 3 MONTHS and 1 DAY. I have only been a resident here since July 30th. Any Suggestions, Help, or ideas would be very beneficial. I would like to file before the new law takes effect. Can I file chapter 7 with no assets "pro se' with extenuating circumstances here in Nevada?
