Today is Monday. My attny is filing my petition on Wednesday. The new law goes into effect in 7 days. I'm jobless now (which is one of of the reasons I had to file) but will likely be getting a job offer in the comming weeks. My new job will require corporate travel which means I'll be required to get a corporate credit card. I would like to know if anyone has had problems with their corporate card upon filing for bankruptcy? Will I be turned down by Amex corporate card? This could potentially effect my ability to get hired???

If the corporate card relies on your personal credit history, it may be a problem. I understand that AMEX is not BK friendly, though I don't know if that only applies to when you filed BK on them. Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Most corporate credit cards are issued to the company you work for with your name as a user. You should be okay......

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
