Question for those who let the house go...

For those of you who let the house foreclose, How does it show on the credit report? Does it only show the mortgage IIB? Does the foreclosure appear in the public records? I've heard a couple of different things and was wondering how it is supposed to appear....

We let our home go back to the bank as well. We are currently disputing the report on our credit reports. Mine still shows an outstanding balance and multiple past due payments. My husband's account says FORCLOSURE, thanks to Experian.

This is not correct, if the debt was listed on your creditors matrix, it should report as Included in Bankruptcy.

I've got a few questions of my own here about getting this changed myself. Good luck to you.

I am in the foreclosure process and made sure that after my chp 7 it reported as IIB which it does know. i will dispute if that changes after the trustee sale. If home was IIB and not reaffirmed it should not report foreclosed.
