OK , I received a letter from a company ( not the bank that I financed my truck) asking me to acknowledge and agree to the intention to surrender and permission to contact the debtor. It asks me to sign this acknowledgement. Also give LOCATION of the vehicle and my phone number.! The letter is dated 10/6, I surrendered the vehicle on 10/3. THEY HAVE IT! ???? MY question ... would be should I just sign it saying agree with the surrender, note that they ALREADY HAVE POSSESION, and not put my phone number?
Called company 10/17, asked them if they still needed me to return letter since I have already surrendered the vehicle. The lady said no, they are showing that they have possession. Then 20 minutes later she calls me back .
Says she spoke to a supervisor and that yes they need me to sign the letter and mail it back, and to note when and where I surrendered the vehicle.
