Can we sell the truck?

Before filing bankruptcy we were waiting to sell an old truck we have (that isn't running) to help pay for the bankruptcy.

We had no buyers at the time and the deadline for the new laws were coming soon so my husband's dad paid for the bankruptcy and we were to pay him back when we sold the truck.

Figures as soon as we file then the guy who was looking at the truck before shows up and wants it and has cash in hand.

Our 341 is scheduled for Nov. 10th.

Can we sell it now or do we have to wait till the bankruptcy is over? This guy probably won't wait so we will have to try and find a new buyer which isn't easy when it's a non running vehicle.

You are not supposed to sell anything during bankruptcy w/out approval from the court.
Do you have an attorney? He rally can better answer that. Did you list it as an asset? Does he wan the title or just the vehicle for part?
