Connection between Bank of America and USBank?

    Hello, friends!

Please let me ask you a question. Lately, USBank is sending me some letters requesting payment for my Bank of America credit card that I haven't been paying. My question is, what is the connection between USBank and Bank of America? Why is USBank contacting me for this and not Bank of America directly? I am confused here.

    Regards,

    Albert L.

BofA may have sold the account, or there could be a merge going on. (I have heard about BofA & MBNA combining forces, don't know specifically about US Bank.)

I have a Providian account that went delinquent & I settled it a few years ago. It is now showing on my credit report as Bank of Omaha. I never had a B of Omaha account, but know that is what it is based on the amount and it shows settled.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

      Hello, StaciMM!

Selling my account to USBank could have been the route that Bank of America took. Still, they bought my First One account and my MBNA account, and now they are selling those to USBank?

To be as sincere as possible, I smell a rat here...which still confuses me.

      Best,

      Albert L.
