What does AP cases mean?

To help clarify AP cases.
Adversary Proceedings is where the trustee petitions the court to take your possessions (such as home, valuables, etc) for resale. He cannot take them unless the court and US Trustee agree. He has to have a court order.
In my case where the bank did not have a lien, the trustee had to file a Adversary Complaint to take my interest in my home and the banks interest (they thought they had) in order to sell my home.
Also they (trustee) has to petition the court to allow him to sell your stuff at auction or a private sale.
You don't see many AP cases.
Hope that helps explaining it.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
