borrowin from retirement prior to discharge

Can anyone answer this question? Is it ok to borrow money off of my husbands retirement prior to discharge? We need it to replace a vehicle we surrendered. It would be around 1500. We are in NY if it help. thanks

This could easily be accomplished without any repercussion....but if you can wait it out. That'd be the better option to take.
