workman's comp money

I wanted to know if you have to declare money from a workman's comp injury case? Will the court take it? I haven't actually recieved the check yet. I am scheduled to pick it up at court from the WC Lawyer on the 18th, so I won't have it in my possesion until after I have filled.

You did not say what state you were in??
Depends on your state, check out the exemptions on this forum thread for your state exemptions. Many incomes from injuries are exempt.
