Chapter 13 to Chapter 7
I filed chap. 13 in May. Can I convert it to chapter 7? And if so, would it be under the old law or the new?

I understand it is all based on the filing date, so if you filed in May and converted now it would be based on the old laws.
As to whether or not to convert, probably best to consult w/ your attorney regarding any changes you've faced to your financial situation in the past 5-6 months.Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research.
