341 Meeting and 401K

Hi All, we had our 341 meeting today. The Trustee didn't object to any of our expenses but told us we had to stop contributing to our 401k's completely and apply that disposable income towards our payment. Anyone else run into the same thing?

Makes sense. A 401k is a savings plan. Your creditors come first, before your personal savings, when you're in bankruptcy. As you get older, you have the opportunity to contribute more each year to "catch up" on contributions.

Have to agree there, the trustee can do this...After all, they look for ANYTHING you can move to the creditors.
