    New to all this...

Just a question, I am a 25 year old that is considering filing bankruptcy. I have around 30k dollars in debt and I don't see an end to my debt.

What is everyones age that is on here that has filed bankruptcy?
I am just curious. Might seem like a dumb question, but I am just confused and scared of the whole process, I am really lost when talking about bankruptcy.

Most of my debt is credit card related...I would say 97% of it is.
I do however have a car, which I have a lein on, I owe around 17k on that, but am current and up to date with my payments, and have full insuance and all that jazz. I also have a student loan which I am up to date on as well. My credit cards however, are very behind, and the min. payments are just out of my reach.....

I just really need some advice. I had a lawyer that I have been emailing back and forth, but sometimes he isn't as clear as I would wish on the answers he gives.

Any help or advice at all would be much appreciated.

    Thanks a lot!

    Marty,
I'm pretty sure the ages on here range anywhere from early 20's to senior citizens. What exactly do you need to know about bankruptcy? Are you still deciding whether or not to file? If so, that depends on a lot of factors- your employment, your debt-to-income ratio, your assets, etc. And it's just a real personal decision that only you can make.
