Large amount of Cash before Meeting

Okay well maybe not that much, but Im going to school part-time at night, and I recieved a refund on a student loan I took out, it wasnt credit based but guaranteed to help low-income students. My question is that the refund was for $1000. I didnt find this out until a few days ago that the loan was more than enough for books/tuition and I got a refund. Will this be a problem or do I have to tell the trustee? I could really use that for other expenses. I havent recieved the check yet, and my meeting is on the 31st.

    Thanks!

Well, the old saying "Better safe then sorry" comes to mind. Discuss this with your lawyer and they should be able to guide you as to the response if the trustee should ask a question related to this cash.

Even if the check does not arrive before the meeting, does not mean you're "Off the hook" in regards to it. So best be honest, as the trustee can do NASTY things to your filing.
