I received my appraisal for my house today. It came in about 10k less than what I thought it would. Even though I now have solid evidence to be able to successfully strip my 2nd mortgage (25k less than 1st), it is actually depressing to see that my house is worth 70k less than what I paid for it almost 8 years ago.
Anyhow, I was waiting for this report to come back before I made my decision on whether to go 7 or 13, and it looks I have my answer. I can't pass up the chance to eliminate the 70k that I owe on my 2nd, so it looks like I will be filing a 13 very soon.
