Monthly Budget / Expences

Alright,
I am attempting to work out a new budget to keep from sliding into credit card chaos ( it may actually be too late) and possible bankruptcy. Does anybody have a suggestion or know where to find the suggested budgets / expences ( I am not quite sure of the terminology) they use for bankruptcys. I'm thinking that this may be a place to start to make sure that none of my expences are way out of line. I don't really think that they are but fiqure better safe than sorry.

If anybody has any usefull hints or tips on budgeting / planning I'd love to hear them.

Also, how much do you spend on food a month? I'm a male without a family if it helps for comparison.
