I think that I related in another post how I found mine. First I called an atty. whom I knew (but did not do BK) and asked for referrals.
Second, I asked a close friend of mine if he knew any atty's whom he trusted. I called that atty and again asked for referrals. The list was the same 2 as before plus one more.
I interviewed with 2 of them and the third, his secretary said that he didn't do free interviews, that it would be $75 just to talk with him.
Finally, I checked the yellow pages under Bk. atty's and after ruling out what seemed to be "Bk. mills" where I felt that I would get no personal attention or much help, I called one more who caught my eye.
I met first w/ his legal asst., who happened to be his wife and then with he and she (all for free). Got the best feeling about them and I think that I wound up with the best atty. for me.
Maybe someone in the Atlanta area has a name they can give you, but if not, don't be afraid to ask other atty's for referrals or interview some on your own.
When I first started on this Forum, several months ago, it was suggested that you interview at least 4 atty's, if tht many were available in an area close to you. I think that is good advice.
Happy hunting, Art
I'm in the metro area, but I can't really help. I would suggest to avoid Clark & Washington though.
The advice of meeting with several is the best way to go. In the end, hire the one you are the most comfortable with.
