Can we still discharge???? Need some help

Hi everyone... We are close to discharge but hasn't posted yet so I started thinking we had 10K in car equity that the trustee wanted so I paid him 10K cash to pay that off now the trustee posted something about any creditors having until dec 28th to file to get some of the 10K cash

Will this affect our discharge? Our date was OCT 2nd

I know some will ask how did I get 10K so I will explain I sold one of the cars we had that I owned outright and bought something cheaper giving the trustee the 10K check from the dealer which he was fine with as long as he got paid and made his %%%

We are almost there just looking forward to a fresh start

You will get discharged but not closed until the money from the car is distributed to your creditors by the trustee. Discharge is what matters though. Whether or not your case is closed is just an administrative matter.

Oh I see thanks for the input! I thought that is how it might work and of course cant get an email back from my attorney telling me what is going on...

Funny how when they need something to file to the court or need a payment they are quick to get right back with you but if you need help LOOK OUT!!!

At least it is with my guy in Tacoma WA
