Question about money for Christmas

I would think that you could do the holiday money. Plus don't know where you are from but here in our town they have an Operation Toy Box where local people contribute toys and the children actually get to ask for "nice toy". Then sometime before Christmas the local Optomist clubs dress up like Santa and deliver to little ones. It is a very wonderful program. Going through BK is tough, things will be different next year so look for whatever resources you have.
I remember a year when I was very young that my mom tells me was our worst year financially, I do remember that there were hardly any toys but I don't remember it as a sad time as it was the love and joy of family that made the holiday special.
Just another thought, are you crafty at all? When we had some of our hardest times my mom would get out the sewing machine and sew doll clothes, make dress up clothes, play aprons etc,(don't know what she did for my brother LOL) I am going to have to be more creative this year as well. I think I can make a fleece blanket for each of my grandkids for about 6 bucks, new sewing to it, and I can pick thier favorite theme as the fleece comes in tons of popular themes. And that is something they will always have and it is a way of covering them with your love everytime they use it.
Keep you chin up, you sound like a trooper and a problem solver, plus God has His ways of opening a new path that you might not have thought of

You're past your 341, so I'd suggest the job.
One of the bools I read after Bk. strongly advised after Bk. that you "Buy the financing" What are the rates on this "holiday money"? I know that your Trustee did not ask about tax refunds, but still think that it's a very ineffective method of "forced savings" How about having DH's income increased by having less or no tax withheld for the rest of the year?
It's just me, but I think you're worrying too much about being thrown into a chap. 13. (Sounds like something I'd do
)
My 341 date is 12/8 and I'm going to look at going back to work (I'm off on medical leave now) starting next week. The difference is that in my field it can take from 2 months to a year to land a position. I'm certain that it won't occur before my 341, but it's possible that it might occur before case is closed, but I'm willing to risk it, because my health has improved and emotionally as well as financially, I need to work.
Wish I/we could help you out for the holidays. Art

I talked to our lawyer yesterday and they said they we can do the Holiday money, since it was for only $500. They said it was small enough that it won't raise any flags and IF the trustee asked they can amend our case, since we didn't use all of our exemptions and our refund would be exempt.
Anyways thank goodness we did, our brakes started squeaking and we had to buy new rotors and pads so we have receipts from that. So much for the money for Christmas, but we will manage, just got $60 from Ebay sales today!
