    Passing accounts to collecting agencies

    Hi ,

I'm so glad I ran into this forum. I'm helping my husband to get through all this BK paperwork. I have this simple question about the mailing matrix. Did you all include the other collecting agencies where the original creditors passed your account to, in the list?

We receive a letter yesterday from the BK Noticing Center telling us that we need to correct the mailing matrix regarding an error on the address of 1 of the creditors? Did anybody here received the same notice? I was trying to figure out if I would send another mailing matrix to the court for another new corrected list or just the one that needs to be corrected. Something tells me that I should just send a letter to the Clerk of Court asking the creditors address to be changed. How did you all deal with this?

    Thanks in advance

Yes you need to send and amendment to the Matrix to the clerk of courts. Include any collection agency and their address also if any are billing you. Do this as soon as possible.

      RE: Amending Creditor Matrix

I filed Chapter 7 in Virginia.

I had to file some corrected creditor addresses cuz I got notice from the court clerk that some of my notices couldn't get delivered cuz of wrong addresses.

My lawyers, who are bankruptcy experts, made it very clear to me that at least where I filed, in your amendment you are only supposed to list the creditors whose addresses you are correcting. If you file a new complete list that includes all your creditors, the clerks get pizzed-off cuz it results in double listings for all those creditors whose addresses you are not amending.
