Three months ago my truck was stolen and my insurance had been cancled.I fell on to hard times and had to let the insurance go and was trying to sell the truck but my girlfriend drove the truck to a nearby town and it was stolen.The police have hears nothing.I still owe 24k on the truck.Can I take bk for the debt?What can the leanholder do?Thanks for any info.Texas.

Whether or not BK is an option depends on your income/expenses. I agree with Staci...better consult an attorney. In Tennessee it is against the law to drive w/o insurance. So the police have no leads? The lienholder is going to come after you for the money so you need to act quickly.Comment
