    Viewed CRedit Report TODAY

Okay, Im still in the middle of my BK and I got my credit report from experian and it was the most confusing ever!

First...all the accounts listed in the report(about 9), I included in the BK. However only 4 of them have listed that their debt was included in the filed BK, and it shows 0 recent balance...DId the other ones not get it?? or does it take awhile for them to show on a credit report? B/C they must still be reporting as not paying and late right??

Second...UGGGGGGGGGGHHHH!! Sucks! My report looks like a tornado hit...It doesn't just say filed BK...debt dischared... It shows every single month Ive been late, that it was charged off, sold off, you name it... for every single account I have..and Ive filed BK..

Then, it also says my BK wont be off my report until 2015!!?? I know thats the time span...But why so Long!!? I dont get how everyone says your credit will be back up in no time, and everything will be fine if you keep good credit after your discharged? Im sure everyone here has this same thing, since we all filed this year..

How is my credit going to be okay again, if its on there until 2015? Is there a way to get it off if you can increase your credit score? if not who is going to give anyone credit with a BK on their record for that long of a time??

Im so starting to regret doing this now...does anyone have an answer?

It gets better......just wait it out!

First off your first sentence says it all...You are still in the process of BK !!!! I know that company's do not have to report anything about the account being included in BK YET, because you are not discharged. We wont be discharged until 12/30/05.

I have gotten my hands on a online copy of (one of three)of our credit reports. Mine we not listed yet as included in BK, so just to get a jump start I disputed EVERY one of my accounts, they are all reporting "included in BK petition" and zero balance...since it is not OFFICIALLY discharged, so it says petition. Some companies have removed them all together, is just depends on the company. 90% of our debt is medical bills, so ours is mostly collections, not must for them to dispute there. I think that once an account is closed and included in BK with a 0 they take off all those months that show when you were on-time and late. Mine ares off from our van, that we surrendered, this Fall.

Yes it stinks about it being on there till 2015,but that's what happens...that's 10 years away!! It's not all that bad. My hubby still has his BK from ten years ago, it comes off next year, that stinks cause when I pull up Pacer and his report it shows two BKs, that's too depressing for me so I look under my SS#....LOL this is my one and only BK. Just to let you know, that people DO get credit with BK on their report, people get cars, houses, and credit cards after BK....it is so common now a days, you can do a search for bankruptcy friendly lenders and it lists ones who work with BK. You just need to be patient and let things work themselves out!!

Good luck hold you head up and it WILL all work out in the end!!

Believe it, that it WILL get better. IN 2-3 years, with good behavior, your credit score could easily be in the 700+ range...Yes, even with a bk!

      I recall my BK in 1995..I bought a car $10,000 in 2000 with 15% and a payment of $270 a month.

I was being approached by mortgage companies (I should have taken it then!) other car sales and even RV sellers...People WANTED me!

And they will want you too..Oh, I also had (Ohhh..big error) after only 2-3 years, 3 CC and 2 from companies I already had bk'ed earlier!

Patience, patience. It's only a little time and you'll look at the world as though it's bright once again

Yes, the BK stays until 2015. (I know that sounds overwhelming, but try to keep in mind that the most recent 2 years have the biggest impact on your credit score, so in time, the BK loses some of its impact.)

As for how accounts are reporting... Creditors update at different times and frequencies. Some may report on the 1st of every month, some on the 15th. And some may only update every 2-3 months. Ultimately, you'll want everything to show a $0 balance. They may still report the past late payments, but sometimes when they update it they only report the BK.

After the BK, as you start positive accounts and handle them well, you'll build a good history after the bad. Its a gradual proces not an overnight transformation.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
