My attorney made a mistake and listed our $450 home equity loan twice. So that gave us $450 as disposable income. I mentioned to the trustee before this that my wifes car (97 Mercury with 110,000 miles on it) was broke and would cost $700 to get fixed. (It runs but no A/C or Heat). She said "Your wife needs a car get one for $450 a month" .There is the $450 expense . We have to try to tweak our Schedule J . Back to the drawing board.

Unless you live in an area w/ very mild weather that fluctuates very little, either lack of heat, a/c, or both, can be a problem.
We're in GA. Due to money constraints, we went without A/C for 2+ months this past summer. If anyone in the household had asthma or certain other health issues, that would not have been an option. Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. GET OVER IT!
Lightning, why don't you have just a little respect! I don't really let your BS get me down, but a senior citizen has health issues it's much more important then a STUPID credit card payment.

That's why he has such a sharp tongue today.Originally posted by GenencoLighting have respect? Hmmm...First, I think that requires morals, decency, empathy and mostly a heart....

SeniorCitizen, you don't have to explain a darn thing to Lightning. People who have a heart can certainly understand your situation, and that is all that matters.
As for you Lightning....this is one of many areas in which you have crossed the line. I have an 82 year old grandmother and there is no way in hell she could take driving in the Florida heat without AC. I can just see the sweat dripping down her face, with her heart-rate increased due to the sweltering heat. HELL NO! She already has health problems, and she deserves to have comfort in her old age. It is bad enough that you are so incredibly cold to people of working age, but to treat an elderly citizen, as you treated SeniorCitizen, with such disrespect is outlandish. You have no right to judge him, or anyone else for that matter. You have no right opening your mouth about things you have no damn clue about, and obviously, the health problems of the elderly is something you know nothing about. You are sad, and your hateful attitude is beyond tired. You seem to live to spew hate and cruelty and I feel sorry for anyone who has the unfortunate experience of knowing you.
I don't know how you can stand to look at yourself in the mirror everyday. You are heartless. I bet you treat children like crap too. Don't you ever treat SeniorCitizen that way again, you sorry excuse for a human being.
I apologize to all of you who had to read yet another response to Lightning. But this time, I couldn't keep quiet.

Lightening should change his name to Chicken Charlie (that was the nicest name I could think of)
My mother has breathing problems and lives off her SS and our family. Her car broke down in the summer (the south is hot and humid) and we had to take her to the ER for her breathing problems. Note: I said we had to take her, she didn't want to go, knew it would be another bill, she does have insurance. She drives a '93 Ford with 160,000 miles and air conditioning. Better than what she was driving. Don't tell me about not dying in a car with out heat or air conditioning. Please get a life somewhere else and leave us all alone.
Why are you dependant on insurance, isn't that taking advantage? Why don't you just pay the bill yourself you seem to have all the money and answers? Just because you or your employer pays the premiums, do you not go to the doctor because you are ill? Why have an insurance claim? What about the insurance company, they are in business to make money, when you turn in a claim, you are taking money out of the insurance company's pocket, they are people, with feelings, families, homes and bills of there own. Think about that Lightening. Oh, sorry, you have turned tail, tucked your tail between your legs and ran home to mommie so she can go beat up these bullies that are picking on you. Isn't that what you do, go away when the truth hurts? Of course you won't answer any questions, I am sorry I asked any.......
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

Lightning you stupid dumbass. You've never heard of a Senior Citizen dying of heat stroke? You are an utter and absolute MORON (as you called myself and others). I live in So Fla. We have Seniors die every summer from the heat. No Bus or train is allowed to run in Dade or Broward by LAW without AC. It is a violation of FTA rules because so many Seniors are hauled on Publc Transit. You truly are as stupid as you sound. They run shelters with AC for poor Seniors in the Summer down here because some can't get to a Mall stupid (I know that you are stupid enough to bring that up, even though being a volunteer in the inner city you would know that there aren't many places to go in some areas, even County buildings don't allow much loitering since 9/11).
OH BTW, STILL WAITING ON THE PROOF, AT THIS POINT YOU ARE STILL A LIAR FROM WHERE I STAND.
Senior, you can PM me if you are in Broward County Florida. You put up the parts and I will supply the labor to fix your AC for free. I have the necessary licenses from the EPA, Broward County and Miami Dade County. I am ASE certified. The parts are likely very inexpensive and i can get most things wholesale.Last edited by robivi3; 12-10-2005, 06:34 AM."You once asked me for advice. You want some now? Never pass up a good thing." (Back on topic...)
SC-I think you'd said before that your wife wasn't thrilled with the idea of keeping her vehicle. Forgive me if I'm thinking of someone else!! I truly believe things work out for a reason, and it sounds like your case is a great example. It does seem odd for a trustee to give advice from the direction of helping the BK filer, but there have to be some decent ones in the bunch I suppose!
Anyhow, the newer vehicle will also have a slightly higher insurance payment. Forgive me if I'm stating something you've already considered, but don't forget to account for that on your revised schedules. (Of course, the higher insurance may wash with lesser maintenance bills!)Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research.
