        You're brave-

Why don't YOU go get me a DRINK?
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

I can use a drink too!!

Bkfiler, you've been a great help to me too! You have sent us those links which were very informative. I learned much more about the new laws so if or when I file I will be more prepared. Still trying to work things out, but I may have to file soon. I just want to hear other's experiences first. I think that's what all of us potential filers are waiting for. No one wants to be the lab rat.

When I do join the 60 day club I'll raid the liquor cabinet myself (providing the trustee doesn't take the cabinet along with the desk, LOL)

this is a family of sorts. We will all eventually go, but for now it is a support group that is needed. and yes, I am off work today, the first day in nearly four months that I'll have to do nothing. Paying for College for number one son is keeping me occupied.

He is working in a Kosher Butcher Shop part time. The owner is Rastafarian and it is in Coconut Creek, a very NICE shop in a beautiful area. But at $183.00 per week it doesn't keep him in fuel, tithe, car repairs, clothes and college (I had to say all this because "you know who will rear his ugly head").

Yes, let this remain "the warm and fuzzy area".

Well, on the warm and fuzzy topic...

Took the kids to church this morning to practice for the annual (children's) Christmas play. My son is going to be Joseph. He kind of had NO competition for the part. There are very few boys, many girls. (So the 3 kings & shepherds are all female.) Mary is a teenager, Joseph is 7. My girls are going to be Angels. When my 5 yo daughter found out that my son was to be Joseph, she whispered to me: I think he's going to be famous.

The best board I have found in a long time. I once ran a VB forum years ago but got busy with work and grew tired of the arguing that went on there. I try not to get ugly with people because I know its just a forum with many anonymous people and btw, I apologize for getting that way yesterday with the local joker you all put up with here. It usually takes a lot to get to me, but he pushed a wrong button or two. I go to the defense of others when I see them being verbally pushed around, as do some of you. I can usually ignore attention seekers like that but I guess its been a while since I lashed out at someone.....ah, all in fun though

Yep, this is a nice forum with good people. I've learned a lot from it the past 2 to 3 weeks that I probably couldn't have ever learned anywhere else. I too appreciate you all and hope to continue to learn and share in the friendships and experiences here. Thats what its supposed to be about right?

Good thread Bkfiler, I have to agree. Filing was the worst thing I thought I would ever face. I found this site early in the process and feel that it has truly been a blessing. I read faithfully and feel the support of folks I will probably never meet.

This is the first Christmas we are doing cash only. I am amazed, cc are such a false sense of security. I feel like a fool in many ways to have believed that was how it had to be. Because I have planned differently and budgeted and knocked off needless junk I don't think anyone will see this as a lesser Christmas.

Now if we could only get a diagnosis on the DH who has been puzzling specialists since April. Probably a lymphoma, surgery for him next wee, and so as you are my bk family and know more of my personal struggles than anyone other than DH, I ask you to keep us in your thoughts.

Much love and appreciation to my bk family for all the support and encouragement and resource you have all provided.

By the way, I don't drink alcohol, what else is being served at the bbq??

I'll bring the wings.....but you're all angels in my book already. I can't thank you all enough for your support and information that you give so freely. I couldn't have done this without your genuine concern..

My meeting is in two days. No matter the turn out.......I thank you all.

Jennga, You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.
BTW, last spring, my wife and I visited a wine area and stayed in a B&B for our anniversary and we pruchased several bottles of sparkling juices. I'll put one or two in the fridge for you. The rest are reserved for Christmas presents. Art

Nobody knows BETTER THAN ME.............the support that this forum offers to bankruptcy filers.....
I would not have survived the last 18 months without the caring, friendly support that I myself have received from all of the people on the forum.....

I've gripped, cried, complained, searched for answers and no-one has every spoke a harsh word to me........."not even you know who"......

I'm tickled pink to be a part of THIS FAMILY and honored that you share your thoughts, suggestions, problems you have, experiencees with me.....

EVERYTHING you all contribute to this forum is informative, realistic, helpfull, thoughtfull and considerate of others feelings (well, most of us anyways - some can be kind a blunt and sound uncaring)....but even they are full of suggestions and some of them good.

Yes, this is a GREAT FORUM - and YOU ALL have helped make it great......

Those just now joining -WELCOME-, those waiting on 341 meeting, share with us, those in the 60 day club- it's almost over. And those discharged - stay with us - support others, and start rebuilding that credit score....

I LOVE THIS FORUM and all the people on it,

                            Minny
