    Question related to Pacer

Ok, just did my weekly Pacer check, I am due for discharge on the 27th of this month But tonight under query I found something that I had never seen before and am curious as to what it means. I queried under deadlines/hearings and there is an area that tells when 341 was and another for deadline for objections to discharge. Then there is this very troublesome deadline entitled Government Proof of Claim and the deadline for that is March 6, 2006. SO what in the heck is that. I know that after discharge comes the next step is waiting for the case to be listed as closed but what does this mean, Government Proof of Claim??

Suddenly this 60 day thing seems like nothing to really get excited about as there is another deadline in March

Tell me please BK gurus, what does this mean????

Its a standard item-I don't know exactly what the government would complain about though!
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

no idea. call your attorney and ask or call the court clerk and ask what it means. it prob has something to do with teh government getting a longer time period to object to something. is your case an asset case?

maybe taxes involved? not sure but gov gets special consideration if they need it. just not sure what they want from you. let us know.
Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

So Staci are you saying that this is standard to all cases? I am a no asset case and do not owe anything to the Government, no back taxes, nothing like that. I will call my attorney and ask him. But it makes me feel better if you are saying that this is a deadline listed in most or all cases.

The only thing I wondered about was if it had to do with income tax returns, although the Trustee did not mention anything about that. He did not ask if I was expecting a refund.

At the risk of running up my pacer bill, I did an extensive look at many open and closed cases who had the same Trustee and in the same district. Absolutely every single one of them had the exact wording of giving a deadline for Government claim. It must be something standard with this court. Also all of those cases were discharged and closed within a reasonable time after the 60 days.

Now I think I can go to bed, have been looking at this for past 2 hours.. oops I have no past or present issues with the Government as far as owing them anything, so for now I feel safe just knowing that this wording is in every petition and deadlines listed were identical to mine.

Did they ask for your tax return at your 341? If so, it might be about your tax return. If not, I dunno.

Yes, this seems to be something standard.
My case has this too and mine is a very simple case and I'm up to date with the government on EVERYTHING.
When I clicked on the numbered document beside this information, it brought up my original paperwork.
                Looks normal to me.

mine and people at my court dont have that. so it must be a court thing.

seems to me you are good to go. ask your attorney why it postpones it so far ahead and let us know
