Help had 341 now debt sold?

I just had my 341 2 weeks ago, a repo that kept being resold was listed now the company i listed and filed on has sold the loan to a new collector. Is this legal? Will i need to ammend my BK to list the new creditor? If i do nothing and my discharge comes will i now have to pay this old debt to the new company? I would think it would be illegal for a company to sell this to a new collector after getting notice! I spoke to my lawyer breifly he wants to know what date this occured, he says this company could be on thin ice for disregarding a court order. This sound's very sneeky does this happen often? I've searched pages on this forum and see nothing similar, What can i do?

I believe all you need do, is contact them and explain the debt was included in the BK, and will be discharged. That the debt is no longer valid. Give them Lawyer, case number and that should be all.

Call, give them name, BK case # and date of discharge.....

They can keep reselling it - but it's "no good" to anyone now.... If it was included in your bk discharge....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

The BK covers the debt, regardless of who collects on it or buys it.

If it was sold over & over again, chances are you didn't have the info of who owned it last to include in your petition, which would mean the company handling it now didn't know of the BK. Make them aware of your BK info, and document it. (Fax w/ confirmation and then mail w/ signature requirement would probably cover it.)
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
