    Question about Schools in Bankruptcy

I just got a letter from the Attorney General, it said that the Universtiy of Akron is using them as a collection agency, and that I owe the $600 from 2003. This is not a loan, this is not a grant, or scholarship. This is just simply part of the tuition that I could not afford to pay at that time. Can I include this debt in my bankruptcy since it is not a loan. I was not sure if I could since the Universtiy is part of the state.. I know you can't include taxes, but I dont think this is a tax issue or anything like that. It is just simply tuition that I didn't pay. any advice would be appreciated

I'm not sure on that one-I'd think yes, but would be best to seek legal advice!
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

I would love to, however; the attorneys here charge of $100 a hr, and charge a min 1 hr. I don't have the money for an attorney. I filled pro se.

I don't see why not. I would include it without a second thought.

Include it. The worst they can do is say "no" and they'll do that for free. It is not fraud or anything which could cause dismissal of your petition to include something about which you are not sure. Art
