I don't think most BK attorneys charge 'by the hour'. Most charge by the case, and then extra for reaffirmations, adversarial proceedings, etc.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Our lawyer charged per case. We paid $700, plus the $210 filing fee. I think I read something like $150 and hour if we needed other stuff over and beyond our case. I'm not sure I'd have to look it up.

attorneys will charge per hour, however. its usually around $300. but for bk cases its a set amount based on how much work they usually do like posted prior. any creditor disputes/adversarial proceedings and possibly trustee and US trustee objections could be more depending on what is entailed to deal with the problem.

basically a flat fee is charged for each type of situation most encounter in a bk case, except for the creditors adversarial objections which might have to go to trial but will definitely need hours of negotiation and possibly preparation.
Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!
