    Car Title

If attorney tells you to bring car title, does that mean they want your car?

It may mean that the trustee is curious to see how the title is set up, in terms of ownership %. (If you are on the title w/ someone else you only own part of it.)

Keep in mind that some trustees ask for certain documentation of every filer. Being asked for paperwork doesn't have to be a bad sign about your case.

When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

my attorney wanted the car title, insurance, paystubs, bank account, etc. and submitted it all to the trustee before hand. its because the trustee wants to see it and the attorney knows the trustee and what they want.

i wouldnt worry about it. you will know more after the 341 maybe.
Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

        Newstart,
Most trustees want to see titles, and mortgages to make sure the liens are perfected.....and recorded correctly.

        Nothing unusual to ask for....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

One more question when I give the trustee copies of my 2003/04 tax return, does he also need copies of all relevant paper work w2's, etc..... sorry for all the questions, just want to be prepared.

Only give what he asks for.
