    So...Am I closed?

    Long story short...

    Filed C7 (NY): 7/14
    341 Meeting: 9/2
    Discharged: 11/4
    Trustee's Report of No Distribution, No asset: 11/28

    Approximately 2 weeks after filing on 7/14, we received a letter from the US Trustee asking for answers & copies to roughly 11 questions, including tax returns, 2 yrs. bill statements from all credit cards, 401K, paystubs, etc... We provided everything within 4-5 days. That was around 7/28 or so.
    As above states, 341 went fine, debt discharged, Trustee requested close on his end.

    Guess my question is... even though we received the discharge and the Trustee has closed on his end... are we really closed? Is there another letter expected from the US Trustee? If so, timeframe? Can I breathe yet?

    Thanks for the great forum. Been reading here since July.

    if your case shows discharge and reports no assets to distribute then you are done. congrats! whoo-hooo!

        i assume you received all these papers in the mail and you are not just giving us projected dates?

        also, did you get the 3 page green sheet entitled "Enjoining xxxx (your name) in their BK, We the court gather to end this proceeding... blah blah blah" ?

          Yes, I received everything in the mail (and by .pdf from my attorney). No, I did not receive any 3-page green form.

              That was evil.... yet quite funny.

              Such is life on this forum... one minute pleasant relief, followed by reading something that moves your intestines 24" north. Errr, umm, well... you know what I mean.
