I don't know the full details, but it can be found out. DH's job was garnished this past summer, and that employer is not shown on his credit report so that isn't how they found out. My best guess is it might have something to do w/ the fact that taxes, social security, etc. are taken out.

a skip tracer can find anyone due to resources they use. when you pay taxes, your company pays them each quarter and that is on record using your social. if you register a phone or register your drivers licsense at your knew address they can find that out too. it just depends on how resourceful they are. heck they can follow you to work from your house to see where you work. its easy as eating pie. and they do that too. i kid you not.

Yup. Just like they hunt down those who owe child support. Unless you work for cash, your payroll deductions that are forwarded to state taxes and irs, you are identifiable by the time you recieve your 1st paycheck.
