I'm thinking of filing for bankruptcy, but only for my credit card debt which totals about $25,000 or so. I have a mortgage and a car payment, which I could handle if I didn't have all the credit card payments.
The problem is, my dad just took out a loan for a motorcycle for me since I was going to sell my car so I could get out of the red. Well, I tried selling the car, but I can't get near what I owe, and I don't have enough to cover the difference. Essentially, my dad paid for the bike, but the title is in my name (I'm a junior), and it hasn't been registered yet. Could I have the title ammended to have my fathers name on it since he paid for it? Or, would they know it was my bike since it hasn't been registered yet?
Sorry for the circuitous first post, and thanks for any insight.
