I had filed pro se on 10-13-2005 and had my 341 this morning. The room was full--but the room was not THAT large--this is Fort Wayne after all.
The trustee asked basically the same questions
*did you read and sign your schedules and are they correct?
*have you lived in Indiana for the past 2 years?
*have you listed all of your assets and creditors?
*Do you anticipate any inheritance or settlements in the next year?
*do you have life insurance with a cash value?
*have you ever filed bankruptcy? When? Where? Which chapter?
He asked a few people how they came up with the value on their house and asked about a 1964 car someone had listed. I have forgotten what kind of car but it is one of those classics that is worth alot if it is restored.
He asked everyone about tax refunds. He didn't seem to be interested in them if they were less than $1000. He told everyone he asked for tax returns and tax refunds that he would take his part and send them the remainder.
For pro se filers such as myself he asked if we had help, and if we did how much we paid for it. I used a web based program--which didn't really give me all the information I needed to file complete and correct schedules--I did one amendment through them--then I ended up downloading all the US Bankruptcy forms in PDF, converting them to Word and doing them myself--So he asked what website it was and wrote that note on my file.....
Sooooo how long do I have to wait before I know if the US Trustee is going to look at me closer?
