Yes, after consulting with my atty's., it was obvious that corporate bk was out of the question for me. My atty's recommended I file personal bk. Then if I chose to, I should let the corporation "die a natural death"

Seriously though, I own a construction company. I have worked for this company since 1993 and purchased it 5 years ago. I had someone go bk on me 3 years ago, which left me stuck with $370,000 of debt and constantly juggling the few resources I have. This fall I had two projects postponed by the owners until spring, which has left me with nothing at all to do. It also caused a stumble in the cashflow, which has set off a chain reaction of catastrophic events. Bk is my only option and is something I should of done 3 years ago as recommended by my atty and accountant. That's why I'm here asking questions and giving advice.

I'll be around for awhile since the means test takes away my incentive to work until after the bk is final. I am poverty level over the last 6 months and want to keep it that way. Otherwise, I would humble myself and go to work for one of my competitors.

That's a webcam pic while chatting - I look too serious in that pic, now I'm going to have to change it.

It does seem mighty strange that a half dozen of us are online answering questions around the clock - what do all of us "gurus" do for money? I felt like explaining this one.

I understand. By learning and helping others, I am staying out of the nut house while going through this low point in life.

That is a half side of beef ribs while I was in the Cheque Republic last year. I was there on a missionary trip volunteering my time rebuilding a church.
