Pretty simple Q - Mort payments

We are to make our 1st Mort payment in plan for 2/1 - how do you make your mort. payment???
    Check
    Cashier's Check
    Money Order
    Online

I know every mort. company is different - we are with HomEq (Wachovia) - but wondering what the typical way to pay is.

Our 1st court appearance is 2/10 - don't want to screw this up before we even get started.

If you are in a Chapter 13 and your mortgage payments are a part of your plan..........then your payment goes directly to the Trustee for disbursement.

The Trustee should have told you about payments to the Court....... and explained everything too you....

IF NOT - contact the Trustee and find our where you send your payment and by what date it has to arrive. Be sure to send a few days early to assure they get it when they are supposed too.

Some people have an automatic deduction taken out of their payroll checks to cover Chapter 13 payments....

Make sure you keep good receipts...............

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

      Thanks Minny!

Our regular monthly payments are due to the mort company on the 1st of the month. The past due amount that we filed on is included in the 13 and will be paid to the trustee.

I've decided to give the mort company a call to see what their official word is... even though they scare me and are the reason I am in this mess to begin with!!! LOL

Wow - they were so nice!
I can pay Ck by phone or ck by mail

      Thanks - A
