I've been looking though the threads to find an answer, but a lot of new threads have been started within the past month (probably because so many filed just before the deadline and most of us are close to the end.) and I just gave up.
I got notice today that the mortgage company's motion to lift the stay was granted (knew this was coming). Even though we are surrenduring the house, will my phone start ringing again? If so, why?

Only the mortgage company can call you, no one else (ie. CC). if your not planning on keeping the house (sounds like your not), then this is completely normal. The mortgage company needs the stay lifted so they can begin the foreclosure process.

Yes, we are not keeping the house. Yes, I know that's why the stay was lifted. Yes, I know only they can contact me. Anyways, thank you for your answers.
I guess I'm not sure what to tell them if they call the house (which I don't expect them to do), other then to get lost and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. We're not staying either (moving into our new place on Mar.1st) so I feel I can be a real bastard about it too.

explain to them you are leaving and when and tell them not to call you. i think its all a matter of what they do and the rules for getting you out. i dont think they are going to call you cuz the house is theres. and the time to get it back is set right?
