I filed in Tallahassee aka The US BK FL Northern District.

Ah ok. Figures I know tons of judges here but no bankruptcy ones! Would be good to talk to them to see how the trustees were etc.

So, is everone's case automatically considered closed at discharge? Can anyone enlighten me...

no. its a techincal thing that comes along when all the paperwork and computer files are ready to be bundled up and stored kinda thing.

close doesnt really matter much. its the discharge that counts.

a close can come same day like mine and up to 3 weeks later some times. even longer if the trustee wants some cash.
