Our 341 is this week (Ch 7) and since we filed we have only been making one mortage payment instead of two so we have not used alot of my child support and have left a lot of it a savings account (which is in the petition). I am wondering what will happen at the meeting and if I will be required to give it all over or the amount that was in there at the time of the petition??

How much money are we talking about here? You should spend up to $1000 of it stocking up on things for the kids, before filing.Originally posted by dweebolina -
I have 850 in savings as of 2-1-06. Will it look funny if I have them send me a check even though our 341 is Thursday? I don't want to get looked at like we are doing anything fraudulent!!!! My money from savings would have to be mailed as it is 3 hours away in my hometown!!

At the time of filing in December it was approx 450 but I have gotten three child support payments (biweekly garnishment). My second Feb. payment isn't coming until the end of the month, so.... Anyway, I was nervous as my husband is going on a business trip x 1 week (next week) and the company reimburses his expenses after he turns in a receipt and we don't have the cash to come up with 1 week of motels. We can't ask for an exception from his employer as they were horrible to him after finding out he filed Ch7 (he doesn't work for a financial institution!!!) and we are worried about him losing his job from what they said anyway, but if he gets to keep his job we will need the money for that!!!
