    Pacer Help Please!!!

I got my password and registered today to check pacer for the first time. Does anyone have advice for a quick way to get to what I need to look at,
which is my case status? It seems to be taking me in circles!!!

When you go into the Pacer system, the easiest and best way - IMHO - to get an overview is to run a docket sheet. That will tell you everything that has been filed and by whom (your attorney, creditor attorneys, trustee, court) since the opening of your case and the last entry will tell you where you are at in the system. You can find that under "Reports" and then pick "docket sheet." Run that and it will give you a list with hot links to the actual documents, in case you would want to print out some of the actual court documents to look at.

Note: Pacer charges you to look at anything (like pulling up the docket sheet) and also charges you to print out any of the documents. So I would start with the docket sheet and if there is something you are dying to see, go ahead and cough up the 8 cents per page to print out the document for yourself.

    HTH!

pacer can be a bit confusing

make sure you click "u.s. case history" or a button that is similarly worded to that. then click "bankruptcy". the first time i tried to access pacer i didn't do that and i spent about 20 minutes clicking different buttons before i figured it out. i agree with the previous poster, once you are there i always run the docket report. i think there is another one called "case history" that would work also.
to refi and pay off your 13 early, visit www.christhompsonhomeloans.com

we refi'd, got a lower rate, paid off a 13, and our morgage payment went down due to the lower rate.

Yes, thanks, the problem was actually getting to the docket report. I spent a long time clicking on random things too and finally figured it out, mostly by trial and error. Thanks to both of you who responded.
