    Discharged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So heres what happened. 2 1/2 weeks after my last date for objections I still had no discharge, so I had to get ghetto on their ass. I walked up into the courthouse, went to the clerk and demanded, 'Gimme my discharge, BEOTCH!!!' She was like yes sir ok sir right away sir heres your discharge sir please dont kill me, sir.

Ok so thats not what really happened. But after checking pacer there it is!

Since my 341, I bought a car (cash), have 2 new credit cards, and a tax return on the way.

It seems things are looking up for a change!

    Ok my Friend,

Use this "fresh start" and make it work for a lifetime.

Plan ahead, keep a savings account for emergencies, use credit cards, but pay off monthly if possible...

Be realistic about what you can afford not what you want....

    Congrads,

Now get into the credit rebuilding mode..........

Good job though, glad it went well for ya
If you are no asset, then pro-se is the way togo. I could have never saved the attorney fee myself either.

It may be worth $10,000 over the payoff so the trustee could try to force me to sell to get to that extra $5000, I'm hoping not though. I figure just having the lawyer there with me will probably help keep the trustee from picking on me. Otherwise I would go pro se.
We finally found an attny who's actually read the Codes and knows them almost by heart. 2 attnys said we had a good arguement for including Mom in our "household" for Median Income purposes. 4 flat out said NO. But ONE actually knows the BK Rules, and the Census Bureau and IRS definitions. He says Mom is a family member. He even quoted the IRS and Census Bureau rule #'s and pulled the BK Code book, found it and showed it to us in black and white. That will put us clearly under the Median. What is with attnys??!! Why hedge when you're clearly talking to people who are researching and learning on their own?? People who can show you the definitions in print, with web references to the DOJ, IRS, and Census Bureau websites???

If we had that much trouble with attnys on one issue alone, can you imagine going solo against a Trustee and a Judge on a whole BK??

Congrats Filing on My Own and Bass Boy!!
