    Car and Reaffermation

I currently have a car loan and payments are current. I had my 341 meeting Approx 1 month ago. No one showed up, I have NOT received a call or letter or anything.

Here is my question, if I keep making the payments what happens. Even after discharge?

AM I essentially renting this car right now?

    What happens after discharge?

However on my credit report it says IIB.

    Thanks,

I have been asking the same question. Thing is upon reading posts, I have learned since our Ch 7 case is discharged and closed at least on PACER we can not reaffirm on one of our cars. We called our atty. a week before the objection deadline and he told me he had not received an agreement. We spent all this money for an atty, who did not seem to give a care. Oh well live and learn. So we have a car and we really do not know what to do with it either. So, hopefully someone will let both of us know what to do. We would ultimately like to get rid of the car and buy a new one, but not sure about that???

If you don't reaffirm, you can give it back to the creditor at any point.

Jared, did you file with or without an attorney, and did you file before or after 10/17?
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Without, and yes I am under the OLD laws. Last day for objections is 3/27/2006.

So essentially I could keep makeing the payments on time and decide in May I want to give it back? or I could pay the remaing balalence with the payments and I would get a title I assume?
